Scripture Reading for the Feast of First Fruits

The feast of First Fruits is the third High Holiday mentioned in Leviticus 23. This is the day when the children of Israel would take the first fruits of the Barley Harvest and give it to the Priests, who would then wave it before the Lord.

This is the day when the annual counting to Shavuot would begin.

Here are some scriptures to help us to study this important day!

Leviticus 23: 9 – 16 – Instructions for First Fruits.

Deuteronomy 26 – We have been redeemed by Elohim.

Joshua 5: 10 – 12 – The children of Israel eat the First Fruits of the Promised Land.

Psalms 24:1 – The world is the Lord’s.

Psalms 78: 51; 105: 36 – The Lord smote the first-born of Egypt and the first fruits of their labors during the Exodus.

Ezekiel 44: 30 – The first fruits of all things are offerings to the priests.
