Passover is the first High Holiday of the Lord described in Leviticus 23. It is the first of the four Spring feasts, Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Shavuot. The first three are sometimes grouped together and are collectively referred to as Passover.
The day of Passover, occurring on the 14th in the month of Abib or Nisan on the Hebrew calendar, was the day that the angel of death killed all the firstborn of Egypt and all those who did not have the blood a spotless lamb on their doorposts and lintels. It was the day that the Hebrews were passed over from death.
We celebrate Passover today, by reading the Exodus story, removing leaven from our homes and our lives, and having a joyous feast day!

2 Kings 22 – 23: 21 – 25 – King Josiah and the priests found the Torah for the first time in years. After cleansing the land and the Temple of idols and wickedness, they celebrated Passover for the first time since the time of the Judges.
2 Chronicles 30: 1 – 27 – A command to celebrate the Passover in the second month, by King Josiah, because there weren’t enough priests purified to perform the Passover in the first month.
Ezra 6: 16 – 22 – After the Babylonian Captivity the children of Israel celebrated the Passover.
Ezekiel 45: 21 – 24 – A command to celebrate the Passover by the prophet Ezekiel.
